It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it. – Aristotle
This has always been one of my favorite quotes while growing up. The emphasis on learning how to think of an idea before accepting it made more sense to me with time, especially at debates where I had to defend my ideas in front of others who endorsed the opposite stand of the subject discussed. The skill of critical thinking became a useful tool that gave its benefits the more I was capable of practicing it.
